ÄpÄyikasutta Bound for Loss
āTayome, bhikkhave, ÄpÄyikÄ nerayikÄ idamappahÄya. āMendicants, these three are bound for a place of loss, bound for hell, if they donāt give up this fault.
Katame tayo? What three?
Yo ca abrahmacÄrÄ« brahmacÄripaį¹iƱƱo, Someone who is unchaste, but claims to be celibate;
yo ca suddhaį¹ brahmacariyaį¹ carantaį¹ amÅ«lakena abrahmacariyena anuddhaį¹seti, someone who makes a groundless accusation of unchastity against a person whose celibacy is pure;
yo cÄyaį¹ evaį¹vÄdÄ« evaį¹diį¹į¹hi: ānatthi kÄmesu dosoāti, so tÄya kÄmesu pÄtabyataį¹ Äpajjati. and someone who has the view, āThere is nothing wrong with sensual pleasures,ā so they throw themselves into sensual pleasures.
Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo ÄpÄyikÄ nerayikÄ idamappahÄyÄāti. These are the three who are bound for a place of loss, bound for hell, if they donāt give up this fault.ā
