Āpāyikasutta Bound for Loss

ā€œTayome, bhikkhave, āpāyikā nerayikā idamappahāya. ā€œMendicants, these three are bound for a place of loss, bound for hell, if they donā€™t give up this fault.

Katame tayo? What three?

Yo ca abrahmacārÄ« brahmacāripaį¹­iƱƱo, Someone who is unchaste, but claims to be celibate;

yo ca suddhaį¹ brahmacariyaį¹ carantaį¹ amÅ«lakena abrahmacariyena anuddhaį¹seti, someone who makes a groundless accusation of unchastity against a person whose celibacy is pure;

yo cāyaį¹ evaį¹vādÄ« evaį¹diį¹­į¹­hi: ā€˜natthi kāmesu dosoā€™ti, so tāya kāmesu pātabyataį¹ āpajjati. and someone who has the view, ā€˜There is nothing wrong with sensual pleasures,ā€™ so they throw themselves into sensual pleasures.

Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo āpāyikā nerayikā idamappahāyāā€ti. These are the three who are bound for a place of loss, bound for hell, if they donā€™t give up this fault.ā€
