Dhammapadasutta Footprints of the Dhamma

ā€œCattārimāni, bhikkhave, dhammapadāni aggaƱƱāni rattaƱƱāni vaį¹saƱƱāni porāį¹‡Äni asaį¹…kiį¹‡į¹‡Äni asaį¹…kiį¹‡į¹‡apubbāni, na saį¹…kÄ«yanti na saį¹…kÄ«yissanti, appaį¹­ikuį¹­į¹­hāni samaį¹‡ehi brāhmaį¹‡ehi viĆ±Ć±Å«hi. ā€œMendicants, these four footprints of the Dhamma are primordial, long-standing, traditional, and ancient. They are uncorrupted, as they have been since the beginning. Theyā€™re not being corrupted now nor will they be. Sensible ascetics and brahmins donā€™t look down on them.

Anabhijjhā, bhikkhave, dhammapadaį¹ aggaƱƱaį¹ rattaƱƱaį¹ vaį¹saƱƱaį¹ porāį¹‡aį¹ asaį¹…kiį¹‡į¹‡aį¹ asaį¹…kiį¹‡į¹‡apubbaį¹, na saį¹…kÄ«yati na saį¹…kÄ«yissati, appaį¹­ikuį¹­į¹­haį¹ samaį¹‡ehi brāhmaį¹‡ehi viĆ±Ć±Å«hi. Contentment, good will, right mindfulness, and right immersion.

Imāni kho, bhikkhave, cattāri dhammapadāni aggaƱƱāni rattaƱƱāni vaį¹saƱƱāni porāį¹‡Äni asaį¹…kiį¹‡į¹‡Äni asaį¹…kiį¹‡į¹‡apubbāni, na saį¹…kÄ«yanti na saį¹…kÄ«yissanti, appaį¹­ikuį¹­į¹­hāni samaį¹‡ehi brāhmaį¹‡ehi viĆ±Ć±Å«hÄ«ti.
