āCatÅ«hi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu apaį¹į¹akappaį¹ipadaį¹ paį¹ipanno hoti, yoni cassa ÄraddhÄ hoti ÄsavÄnaį¹ khayÄya. āMendicants, when a mendicant has four things their practice is a sure bet, and they have laid the groundwork for ending the defilements.

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sÄ«lavÄ hoti, bahussuto hoti, ÄraddhavÄ«riyo hoti, paƱƱavÄ hoti. Itās when a mendicant is ethical, learned, energetic, and wise.
