āPaƱcime, bhikkhave, dhammÄ anÄyussÄ. āMendicants, these five things impede longevity.
Katame paƱca? What five?
AsappÄyakÄrÄ« hoti, sappÄye mattaį¹ na jÄnÄti, apariį¹atabhojÄ« ca hoti, akÄlacÄrÄ« ca hoti, abrahmacÄrÄ« ca. Doing what is unsuitable, not knowing moderation in what is suitable, eating food unfit for consumption, activity at unsuitable times, and unchastity.
Ime kho, bhikkhave, paƱca dhammÄ anÄyussÄ. These are the five things that impede longevity.
