SÄrajjasutta Timidity
āPaƱcahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu sÄrajjaį¹ okkanto hoti. āMendicants, a mendicant with five qualities is overcome by timidity.
Katamehi paƱcahi? What five?
Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu assaddho hoti, dussÄ«lo hoti, appassuto hoti, kusÄ«to hoti, duppaƱƱo hoti. Itās when a mendicant is faithless, unethical, with little learning, lazy, and witless.
Imehi kho, bhikkhave, paƱcahi, dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu sÄrajjaį¹ okkanto hoti. A mendicant with these five qualities is overcome by timidity.
PaƱcahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu visÄrado hoti. A mendicant with five qualities is self-assured.
