YÄgusutta Porridge
āPaƱcime, bhikkhave, Änisaį¹sÄ yÄguyÄ. āMendicants, there are these five benefits of porridge.
Katame paƱca? What five?
Khuddaį¹ paį¹ihanati, pipÄsaį¹ paį¹ivineti, vÄtaį¹ anulometi, vatthiį¹ sodheti, ÄmÄvasesaį¹ pÄceti. It wards off hunger, quenches thirst, settles the wind, cleans the bladder, and helps digestion.
Ime kho, bhikkhave, paƱca Änisaį¹sÄ yÄguyÄāti. These are the five benefits of porridge.ā
