Yāgusutta Porridge

ā€œPaƱcime, bhikkhave, ānisaį¹sā yāguyā. ā€œMendicants, there are these five benefits of porridge.

Katame paƱca? What five?

Khuddaį¹ paį¹­ihanati, pipāsaį¹ paį¹­ivineti, vātaį¹ anulometi, vatthiį¹ sodheti, āmāvasesaį¹ pāceti. It wards off hunger, quenches thirst, settles the wind, cleans the bladder, and helps digestion.

Ime kho, bhikkhave, paƱca ānisaį¹sā yāguyāā€ti. These are the five benefits of porridge.ā€
