Aniccasutta Impermanence
āāSo vata, bhikkhave, bhikkhu kaƱci saį¹
khÄraį¹ niccato samanupassanto anulomikÄya khantiyÄ samannÄgato bhavissatÄ«āti netaį¹ į¹hÄnaį¹ vijjati. āMendicants, it is quite impossible for a mendicant who regards any condition as permanent to accept views that conform with the teaching.
āAnulomikÄya khantiyÄ asamannÄgato sammattaniyÄmaį¹ okkamissatÄ«āti netaį¹ į¹hÄnaį¹ vijjati. Without accepting views that conform with the teaching, itās impossible to enter the sure path.
āSammattaniyÄmaį¹ anokkamamÄno sotÄpattiphalaį¹ vÄ sakadÄgÄmiphalaį¹ vÄ anÄgÄmiphalaį¹ vÄ arahattaį¹ vÄ sacchikarissatÄ«āti netaį¹ į¹hÄnaį¹ vijjati. Without entering the sure path, itās impossible to realize the fruit of stream-entry, once-return, non-return, or perfection.
āSo vata, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sabbasaį¹
khÄre aniccato samanupassanto anulomikÄya khantiyÄ samannÄgato bhavissatÄ«āti į¹hÄnametaį¹ vijjati. Itās quite possible for a mendicant who regards all conditions as impermanent to accept views that conform with the teaching.
āAnulomikÄya khantiyÄ samannÄgato sammattaniyÄmaį¹ okkamissatÄ«āti į¹hÄnametaį¹ vijjati. Having accepted views that conform with the teaching, itās possible to enter the sure path.
