āSattahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu nacirasseva catasso paį¹isambhidÄ sayaį¹ abhiĆ±Ć±Ä sacchikatvÄ upasampajja vihareyya. āMendicants, a mendicant with seven qualities will soon realize the four kinds of textual analysis and live having achieved them with their own insight.

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu āidaį¹ me cetaso lÄ«nattanāti yathÄbhÅ«taį¹ pajÄnÄti; Itās when a mendicant truly understands: āThis is mental sluggishnessā.

khittaį¹ vÄ cittaį¹ āajjhattaį¹ me saį¹
khittaį¹ cittanāti yathÄbhÅ«taį¹ pajÄnÄti; They truly understand internally constricted mind as āinternally constricted mindā.
bahiddhÄ vikkhittaį¹ vÄ cittaį¹ ābahiddhÄ me vikkhittaį¹ cittanāti yathÄbhÅ«taį¹ pajÄnÄti; They truly understand externally scattered mind as āexternally scattered mindā.
tassa viditÄ vedanÄ uppajjanti, viditÄ upaį¹į¹hahanti, viditÄ abbhatthaį¹ gacchanti; They know feelings as they arise, as they remain, and as they go away.
viditÄ saĆ±Ć±Ä uppajjanti, viditÄ upaį¹į¹hahanti, viditÄ abbhatthaį¹ gacchanti; They know perceptions as they arise, as they remain, and as they go away.
viditÄ vitakkÄ uppajjanti, viditÄ upaį¹į¹hahanti, viditÄ abbhatthaį¹ gacchanti; They know thoughts as they arise, as they remain, and as they go away.
sappÄyÄsappÄyesu kho panassa dhammesu hÄ«nappaį¹Ä«tesu kaį¹hasukkasappaį¹ibhÄgesu nimittaį¹ suggahitaį¹ hoti sumanasikataį¹ sÅ«padhÄritaį¹ suppaį¹ividdhaį¹ paƱƱÄya. The patterns of qualitiesāsuitable or unsuitable, inferior or superior, or those on the side of dark or brightāare properly grasped, focused on, borne in mind, and comprehended with wisdom.
Imehi kho, bhikkhave, sattahi dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu nacirasseva catasso paį¹isambhidÄ sayaį¹ abhiĆ±Ć±Ä sacchikatvÄ upasampajja vihareyyÄāti. A mendicant with these seven qualities will soon realize the four kinds of textual analysis and live having achieved them with their own insight.ā
