Dutiyavinayadharasobhanasutta Shines as an Expert in the Monastic Law (2nd)
āSattahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato vinayadharo sobhati. āMendicants, a mendicant with seven qualities shines as an expert in the monastic law.

Äpattiį¹ jÄnÄti, They know what is an offense.
anÄpattiį¹ jÄnÄti, They know what is not an offense.
lahukaį¹ Äpattiį¹ jÄnÄti, They know what is a light offense.
garukaį¹ Äpattiį¹ jÄnÄti, They know what is a serious offense.
ubhayÄni kho panassa pÄtimokkhÄni vitthÄrena svÄgatÄni honti suvibhattÄni suppavattÄ«ni suvinicchitÄni suttaso anubyaƱjanaso, Both monastic codes have been passed down to them in detail, well analyzed, well mastered, well evaluated in both the rules and accompanying material.

ÄsavÄnaį¹ khayÄ ā¦peā¦ sacchikatvÄ upasampajja viharati. They realize the undefiled freedom of heart and freedom by wisdom in this very life, and live having realized it with their own insight due to the ending of defilements.
