~ Observing Impermanence in the Eye
āSattime, bhikkhave, puggalÄ ÄhuneyyÄ ā¦peā¦ dakkhiį¹eyyÄ aƱjalikaraį¹Ä«yÄ anuttaraį¹ puƱƱakkhettaį¹ lokassa. āMendicants, these seven people are worthy of offerings dedicated to the gods, worthy of hospitality, worthy of a religious donation, worthy of greeting with joined palms, and are the supreme field of merit for the world.

Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo cakkhusmiį¹ aniccÄnupassÄ« viharati aniccasaƱƱī aniccapaį¹isaį¹vedÄ« satataį¹ samitaį¹ abbokiį¹į¹aį¹ cetasÄ adhimuccamÄno paƱƱÄya pariyogÄhamÄno. First, take a person who meditates observing impermanence in the eye. They perceive impermanence and experience impermanence. Constantly, continually, and without interruption, they apply the mind and fathom with wisdom.
So ÄsavÄnaį¹ khayÄ anÄsavaį¹ cetovimuttiį¹ paƱƱÄvimuttiį¹ diį¹į¹heva dhamme sayaį¹ abhiĆ±Ć±Ä sacchikatvÄ upasampajja viharati. They realize the undefiled freedom of heart and freedom by wisdom in this very life. And they live having realized it with their own insight due to the ending of defilements.
Ayaį¹ kho, bhikkhave, paį¹hamo puggalo Ähuneyyo pÄhuneyyo ā¦peā¦ anuttaraį¹ puƱƱakkhettaį¹ lokassa. This is the first person who is worthy of offerings dedicated to the gods, worthy of hospitality, worthy of a religious donation, worthy of greeting with joined palms, and is the supreme field of merit for the world.
Puna caparaį¹, bhikkhave, idhekacco puggalo cakkhusmiį¹ aniccÄnupassÄ« viharati aniccasaƱƱī aniccapaį¹isaį¹vedÄ« satataį¹ samitaį¹ abbokiį¹į¹aį¹ cetasÄ adhimuccamÄno paƱƱÄya pariyogÄhamÄno. Next, take a person who meditates observing impermanence in the eye. ā¦
Tassa apubbaį¹ acarimaį¹ ÄsavapariyÄdÄnaƱca hoti jÄ«vitapariyÄdÄnaƱca. Their defilements and their life come to an end at exactly the same time.
