SikkhÄdubbalyasutta Weaknesses in Training and Mindfulness Meditation
āPaƱcimÄni, bhikkhave, sikkhÄdubbalyÄni. āMendicants, there are these five weaknesses when youāre training.
KatamÄni paƱca? What five?
PÄį¹ÄtipÄto, adinnÄdÄnaį¹, kÄmesumicchÄcÄro, musÄvÄdo, surÄmerayamajjapamÄdaį¹į¹hÄnaį¹āKilling living creatures, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying, and consuming beer, wine, and liquor intoxicants.
imÄni kho, bhikkhave, paƱca sikkhÄdubbalyÄni. These are the five weaknesses when youāre training.
Imesaį¹ kho, bhikkhave, paƱcannaį¹ sikkhÄdubbalyÄnaį¹ pahÄnÄya cattÄro satipaį¹į¹hÄnÄ bhÄvetabbÄ. To give up these five weaknesses in your training you should develop the four kinds of mindfulness meditation.

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu kÄye kÄyÄnupassÄ« viharati ÄtÄpÄ« sampajÄno satimÄ vineyya loke abhijjhÄdomanassaį¹; Itās when a mendicant meditates by observing an aspect of the bodyākeen, aware, and mindful, rid of covetousness and displeasure for the world.
