VuttaƱhetaį¹ bhagavatā vuttamarahatāti me sutaį¹: This was said by the Buddha, the Perfected One: that is what I heard.

ā€œSabbaį¹, bhikkhave, anabhijānaį¹ aparijānaį¹ tattha cittaį¹ avirājayaį¹ appajahaį¹ abhabbo dukkhakkhayāya. ā€œMendicants, without directly knowing and completely understanding the all, without dispassion for it and giving it up, you canā€™t end suffering.

SabbaƱca kho, bhikkhave, abhijānaį¹ parijānaį¹ tattha cittaį¹ virājayaį¹ pajahaį¹ bhabbo dukkhakkhayāyāā€ti. By directly knowing and completely understanding the all, having dispassion for it and giving it up, you can end suffering.ā€

Etamatthaį¹ bhagavā avoca. That is what the Buddha said.

Tatthetaį¹ iti vuccati: On this it is said:

ā€œYo sabbaį¹ sabbato Ʊatvā, ā€œThose who know the all as all,

sabbatthesu na rajjati; are not attracted to anything.

Sa ve sabbapariƱƱā so, They completely understand all,

sabbadukkhamupaccagāā€ti. and have risen above all suffering.ā€

Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. This too is a matter that was spoken by the Blessed One: that is what I heard.
