VuttaƱhetaį¹ bhagavatÄ vuttamarahatÄti me sutaį¹: This was said by the Buddha, the Perfected One: that is what I heard.
āEkadhammo, bhikkhave, loke uppajjamÄno uppajjati bahujanahitÄya bahujanasukhÄya bahuno janassa atthÄya hitÄya sukhÄya devamanussÄnaį¹. āOne thing, mendicants, arises in the world for the welfare and happiness of the people, for the people, for the benefit, welfare, and happiness of gods and humans.

ghasÄmaggÄ«. Harmony in the Saį¹
gha.

ghe kho pana, bhikkhave, samagge na ceva aƱƱamaƱƱaį¹ bhaį¹įøanÄni honti, na ca aƱƱamaƱƱaį¹ paribhÄsÄ honti, na ca aƱƱamaƱƱaį¹ parikkhepÄ honti, na ca aƱƱamaƱƱaį¹ pariccajanÄ honti. When the Saį¹
gha is in harmony, they donāt argue, insult, block, or forsake each other.
Tattha appasannÄ ceva pasÄ«danti, pasannÄnaƱca bhiyyobhÄvo hotÄ«āti. This inspires confidence in those without it, and increases confidence in those who have it.ā
Etamatthaį¹ bhagavÄ avoca. The Buddha spoke this matter.

āSukhÄ saį¹
ghassa sÄmaggÄ«, āA Saį¹
gha in harmony is happy,
samaggÄnaƱcanuggaho; as is support for those in harmony.
Samaggarato dhammaį¹į¹ho, Taking a stand on the teaching,
yogakkhemÄ na dhaį¹sati; favoring harmony, they ruin no sanctuary.

ghaį¹ samaggaį¹ katvÄna, After creating harmony in the Saį¹
gha,
kappaį¹ saggamhi modatÄ«āti. they rejoice in heaven for an eon.ā
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatÄ, iti me sutanti. This too is a matter that was spoken by the Blessed One: that is what I heard.
