āParittaį¹ dÄrumÄruyha, If youāre lost in the middle of a great sea,
yathÄ sÄ«de mahaį¹į¹ave; and you clamber up on a little log, youāll sink.
Evaį¹ kusÄ«tamÄgamma, So too, a person who lives well
sÄdhujÄ«vÄ«pi sÄ«dati; sinks by relying on a lazy person.
TasmÄ taį¹ parivajjeyya, Hence you should avoid such
kusÄ«taį¹ hÄ«navÄ«riyaį¹. a lazy person who lacks energy.
Pavivittehi ariyehi, Dwell with the noble ones
pahitattehi jhÄyibhi; who are secluded and determined
Niccaį¹ ÄraddhavÄ«riyehi, and always energetic;
paį¹įøitehi sahÄvaseāti. the astute who practice absorption.
