Mogharājattheragāthā Mogharāja
“Chavipāpaka cittabhaddaka, “Your skin is nasty but your heart is good;
Mogharāja satataṁ samāhito; Mogharāja, you’re always immersed in samādhi.
Hemantikasītakālarattiyo, But in the nights of winter, so dark and cold,
Bhikkhu tvaṁsi kathaṁ karissasi”. how will you get by, monk?”
“Sampannasassā magadhā, “I’ve heard that all the Magadhans
kevalā iti me sutaṁ; have an abundance of grain.
Palālacchannako seyyaṁ, I’ll make my bed under a thatched roof,
yathaññe sukhajīvino”ti. just like those who live in comfort.”
