ā€œAkkodhanonupanāhÄ«, Free of anger and acrimony,

amāyo rittapesuį¹‡o; free of deceit, and rid of slander;

Sa ve tādisako bhikkhu, thatā€™s how such a mendicant

evaį¹ pecca na socati. doesnā€™t grieve after passing away.

Akkodhanonupanāhī, Free of anger and acrimony,

amāyo rittapesuį¹‡o; free of deceit, and rid of slander;

Guttadvāro sadā bhikkhu, thatā€™s how a mendicant with sense doors always guarded

evaį¹ pecca na socati. doesnā€™t grieve after passing away.

Akkodhanonupanāhī, Free of anger and acrimony,

amāyo rittapesuį¹‡o; free of deceit, and rid of slander;

Kalyāį¹‡asÄ«lo so bhikkhu, thatā€™s how a mendicant of good morals

Kalyāį¹‡apaƱƱo so bhikkhu, thatā€™s how a mendicant of good wisdom,

evaį¹ pecca na socati. doesnā€™t grieve after passing away.

Yassa saddhā tathāgate, Whoever has faith in the Realized One,

acalā suppatiį¹­į¹­hitā; unwavering and well grounded;

SÄ«laƱca yassa kalyāį¹‡aį¹, whose ethical conduct is good,

ariyakantaį¹ pasaį¹sitaį¹. praised and loved by the noble ones;

Saį¹…ghe pasādo yassatthi, who has confidence in the Saį¹…gha,

ujubhÅ«taƱca dassanaį¹; and correct view:

ā€˜Adaliddoā€™ti taį¹ āhu, theyā€™re said to be prosperous;

amoghaį¹ tassa jÄ«vitaį¹. their life is not in vain.

Tasmā saddhaƱca sīlaƱca, So let the wise devote themselves

pasādaį¹ dhammadassanaį¹; to faith, ethical behavior,

AnuyuƱjetha medhāvī, confidence, and insight into the teaching,

saraį¹ buddhāna sāsananā€ti. remembering the instructions of the Buddhas.
