Susammuį¹­į¹­hasutta Very Confused Utterly Muddled

Sāvatthinidānaį¹. At SāvatthÄ«. At Savatthi.

Ekamantaį¹ į¹­hitā kho sā devatā bhagavato santike imaį¹ gāthaį¹ abhāsi: Standing to one side, that deity recited this verse in the Buddhaā€™s presence: Standing to one side, that devatā recited this verse in the presence of the Blessed One:

ā€œYesaį¹ dhammā susammuį¹­į¹­hā, ā€œThose who are very confused about the teachings ā€œThose who are utterly muddled about things,

paravādesu nÄ«yare; may be led astray by the doctrines of others. Who may be led into othersā€™ doctrines,

Suttā te nappabujjhanti, Asleep, they have not woken up: Fast asleep, they have not yet awakened:

kālo tesaį¹ pabujjhitunā€ti. it is time for them to wake!ā€ It is time for them to awaken.ā€

ā€œYesaį¹ dhammā asammuį¹­į¹­hā, ā€œThose who are unconfused about the teachings, ā€œThose who arenā€™t muddled about things,

paravādesu na nÄ«yare; wonā€™t be led astray by the doctrines of others. Who cannot be led into othersā€™ doctrines,

Te sambuddhā sammadaƱƱā, They have woken up, they rightly know, Those awakened ones, having rightly known,

caranti visame samanā€ti. smoothly they walk in the rough.ā€ Fare evenly amidst the uneven. ā€
