ā€œCatucakkaį¹ navadvāraį¹, ā€œFour are its wheels, and nine its doors; ā€œHaving four wheels and nine doors,

puį¹‡į¹‡aį¹ lobhena saį¹yutaį¹; itā€™s stuffed full, bound with greed, Filled up and bound with greed,

Paį¹…kajātaį¹ mahāvÄ«ra, and born from a bog. Born from a bog, O great hero!

kathaį¹ yātrā bhavissatÄ«ā€ti. Great hero, how will I keep going?ā€ How does one escape from it?ā€

ā€œChetvā naddhiį¹ varattaƱca, ā€œHaving cut the strap and harnessā€”ā€œHaving cut the thong and the strap,

icchā lobhaƱca pāpakaį¹; the wicked desire and greedā€”Having cut off evil desire and greed,

SamÅ«laį¹ taį¹‡hamabbuyha, and having plucked out craving, root and all: Having drawn out craving with its root:
