Accharāsutta Nymphs Nymphs

ā€œAccharāgaį¹‡asaį¹…ghuį¹­į¹­haį¹, ā€œItā€™s resounding with a group of nymphs, ā€œResounding with a host of nymphs,

pisācagaį¹‡asevitaį¹; but haunted by a gang of goblins! Haunted by a host of demons!

Vanantaį¹ mohanaį¹ nāma, This grove is called ā€˜Delusionā€™. This grove is to be called ā€˜Deludingā€™:

kathaį¹ yātrā bhavissatÄ«ā€ti. How will I keep going?ā€ How does one escape from it?ā€

ā€œUjuko nāma so maggo, ā€œThat path is called ā€˜the straight wayā€™, ā€œā€˜The straight wayā€™ that path is called,

abhayā nāma sā disā; and itā€™s headed for the place called ā€˜fearlessā€™. And ā€˜fearlessā€™ is its destination.

HirÄ« tassa apālambo, Conscience is its bench-back, ā€œThe sense of shame is its leaning board,

satyassa parivāraį¹‡aį¹; mindfulness its upholstery. Mindfulness its upholstery;

Dhammāhaį¹ sārathiį¹ brÅ«mi, I say the teaching is the driver, I call the Dhamma the charioteer,

sammādiį¹­į¹­hipurejavaį¹. with right view running out in front. With right view running out in front.

Yassa etādisaį¹ yānaį¹, Any woman or man ā€œOne who has such a vehicleā€”

itthiyā purisassa vā; who has such a vehicle, Whether a woman or a manā€”

Sa ve etena yānena, by means of this vehicle Has, by means of this vehicle,

nibbānasseva santikeā€ti. has drawn near to extinguishment.ā€ Drawn close to Nibbāna. ā€
