Rathasutta A Chariot Chariot
“Kiṁsu rathassa paññāṇaṁ, “What’s the mark of a chariot? “What is the token of a chariot?
kiṁsu paññāṇamaggino; What’s the mark of fire? What, the token of a fire?
Kiṁsu raṭṭhassa paññāṇaṁ, What’s the mark of a nation? What is the token of a country?
kiṁsu paññāṇamitthiyā”ti. What’s the mark of a woman?” What, the token of a woman?”
“Dhajo rathassa paññāṇaṁ, “A banner is the mark of a chariot. “A standard is the token of a chariot;
dhūmo paññāṇamaggino; Smoke is the mark of fire. Smoke, the token of a fire;
Rājā raṭṭhassa paññāṇaṁ, A ruler is a nation’s mark. The king is a country’s token;
bhattā paññāṇamitthiyā”ti. And a husband is the mark of a woman.” A husband, the token of a woman. ”
