ā€œYato kho, bhikkhave, ariyasāvakassa paƱca bhayāni verāni vÅ«pasantāni honti, catÅ«hi ca sotāpattiyaį¹…gehi samannāgato hoti, ariyo cassa Ʊāyo paƱƱāya sudiį¹­į¹­ho hoti suppaį¹­ividdho, so ākaį¹…khamāno attanāva attānaį¹ byākareyya: ā€œMendicants, when a noble disciple has quelled five dangers and threats, has the four factors of stream-entry, and has clearly seen and comprehended the noble system with wisdom, they may, if they wish, declare of themselves:

ā€˜khÄ«į¹‡anirayomhi ā€¦peā€¦ avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyanoā€™ti. ā€˜Iā€™ve finished with rebirth in hell, the animal realm, and the ghost realm. Iā€™ve finished with all places of loss, bad places, the underworld. I am a stream-enterer! Iā€™m not liable to be reborn in the underworld, and am bound for awakening.ā€™

yaį¹, bhikkhave, musāvādÄ« ā€¦ lying ā€¦

yaį¹, bhikkhave, surāmerayamajjapamādaį¹­į¹­hāyÄ« ā€¦peā€¦ consuming beer, wine, and liquor intoxicants ā€¦

ariyakantehi sīlehi samannāgato hoti. and their ethical conduct is loved by the noble ones.

Imehi catÅ«hi sotāpattiyaį¹…gehi samannāgato hoti. These are the four factors of stream-entry that they have.

Katamo cassa ariyo Ʊāyo paƱƱāya sudiį¹­į¹­ho hoti suppaį¹­ividdho? And what is the noble system that they have clearly seen and comprehended with wisdom?

Idha, bhikkhave, ariyasāvako paį¹­iccasamuppādaƱƱeva sādhukaį¹ yoniso manasi karoti ā€¦peā€¦ A noble disciple carefully and rationally applies the mind to dependent origination itself ā€¦

ayamassa ariyo Ʊāyo paƱƱāya sudiį¹­į¹­ho hoti suppaį¹­ividdho. This is the noble system that they have clearly seen and comprehended with wisdom.

Yato kho, bhikkhave, ariyasāvakassa imāni paƱca bhayāni verāni vÅ«pasantāni honti, imehi catÅ«hi sotāpattiyaį¹…gehi samannāgato hoti, ayaƱcassa ariyo Ʊāyo paƱƱāya sudiį¹­į¹­ho hoti suppaį¹­ividdho, so ākaį¹…khamāno attanāva attānaį¹ byākareyya: When a noble disciple has quelled five dangers and threats, has the four factors of stream-entry, and has clearly seen and comprehended the noble system with wisdom, they may, if they wish, declare of themselves:
