Sāvatthiyaį¹ viharati. At SāvatthÄ«.

ā€œDhātunānattaį¹ vo, bhikkhave, desessāmi. ā€œMendicants, I will teach you the diversity of elements.

katamaƱca, bhikkhave, dhātunānattaį¹? And what is the diversity of elements?

RÅ«padhātu saddadhātu gandhadhātu rasadhātu phoį¹­į¹­habbadhātu dhammadhātuā€”The sight element, the sound element, the smell element, the taste element, the touch element, and the idea element.

idaį¹ vuccati, bhikkhave, dhātunānattanā€ti. This is called the diversity of elements.ā€
