āIdhÄhaį¹, Ävuso, gijjhakÅ«į¹Ä pabbatÄ orohanto addasaį¹ purisaį¹ gÅ«thakÅ«pe nimuggaį¹ ubhohi hatthehi gÅ«thaį¹ khÄdantaį¹ ā¦peā¦ āJust now, reverend, as I was descending from Vultureās Peak Mountain I saw a man sunk in a sewer, eating dung with both hands. ā¦ā ā¦
eso, bhikkhave, satto imasmiį¹yeva rÄjagahe duį¹į¹habrÄhmaį¹o ahosi. āThat being used to be a nasty brahmin right here in RÄjagaha.
So kassapassa sammÄsambuddhassa pÄvacane bhikkhusaį¹
ghaį¹ bhattena nimantetvÄ doį¹iyo gÅ«thassa pÅ«rÄpetvÄ etadavocaāIn the time of the Buddha Kassapaās dispensation he invited the Saį¹
gha of mendicants for a meal. He filled a trough with dung and said:
aho bhonto yÄvadatthaį¹ bhuƱjantu ceva harantu cÄāti ā¦peā¦. āMy good men, eat as much as you like, and take whatās left.ā ā¦ā
