Asīsakasutta A Headless Trunk

ā€œIdhāhaį¹, āvuso, gijjhakÅ«į¹­Ä pabbatā orohanto addasaį¹ asÄ«sakaį¹ kabandhaį¹ vehāsaį¹ gacchantaį¹. ā€œJust now, reverend, as I was descending from Vultureā€™s Peak Mountain I saw a headless trunk flying through the air.

Tassa ure akkhīni ceva honti mukhaƱca. Its eyes and mouth were on its chest.

Tamenaį¹ gijjhāpi kākāpi kulalāpi anupatitvā anupatitvā vitacchenti virājenti. Vultures, crows, and hawks kept chasing it, pecking and clawing

So sudaį¹ aį¹­į¹­assaraį¹ karoti ā€¦peā€¦ as it screamed in pain. ā€¦ā€ ā€¦

eso, bhikkhave, satto imasmiį¹yeva rājagahe hāriko nāma coraghātako ahosi ā€¦peā€¦. ā€œThat being used to be an executioner called Hārika right here in Rājagaha. ā€¦ā€
