Sahetuaniccasutta Impermanence With Its Cause

Sāvatthinidānaį¹. At SāvatthÄ«.

ā€œRÅ«paį¹, bhikkhave, aniccaį¹. ā€œMendicants, form is impermanent.

Yopi hetu, yopi paccayo rūpassa uppādāya, sopi anicco. The cause and reason that gives rise to form is also impermanent.

AniccasambhÅ«taį¹, bhikkhave, rÅ«paį¹ kuto niccaį¹ bhavissati. Since form is produced by what is impermanent, how could it be permanent?

Vedanā aniccā. Feeling is impermanent ā€¦

Yopi hetu, yopi paccayo vedanāya uppādāya, sopi anicco.

Aniccasambhūtā, bhikkhave, vedanā kuto niccā bhavissati.

SaƱƱā aniccā ā€¦ Perception is impermanent ā€¦

saį¹…khārā aniccā. Choices are impermanent ā€¦

Yopi hetu yopi paccayo saį¹…khārānaį¹ uppādāya, sopi anicco.

AniccasambhÅ«tā, bhikkhave, saį¹…khārā kuto niccā bhavissanti.

ViƱƱāį¹‡aį¹ aniccaį¹. Consciousness is impermanent.

Yopi hetu yopi paccayo viƱƱāį¹‡assa uppādāya, sopi anicco. The cause and reason that gives rise to consciousness is also impermanent.

AniccasambhÅ«taį¹, bhikkhave, viƱƱāį¹‡aį¹ kuto niccaį¹ bhavissati. Since consciousness is produced by what is impermanent, how could it be permanent?
