Sāvatthinidānaį¹. At SāvatthÄ«.

ā€œPaƱcime, bhikkhave, upādānakkhandhā. ā€œMendicants, there are these five grasping aggregates.

Katame paƱca? What five?

Seyyathidaį¹ā€”rÅ«pupādānakkhandho ā€¦peā€¦ viƱƱāį¹‡upādānakkhandho. That is, the grasping aggregates of form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness.

Ye hi keci, bhikkhave, samaį¹‡Ä vā brāhmaį¹‡Ä vā imesaį¹ paƱcannaį¹ upādānakkhandhānaį¹ assādaƱca ādÄ«navaƱca nissaraį¹‡aƱca yathābhÅ«taį¹ nappajānanti ā€¦peā€¦ There are ascetics and brahmins who donā€™t truly understand these five grasping aggregatesā€™ gratification, drawback, and escape ā€¦
