āSabbupÄdÄnapariyÄdÄnÄya vo, bhikkhave, dhammaį¹ desessÄmi. āMendicants, I will teach you the principle for depleting all fuel.

Katamo ca, bhikkhave, sabbupÄdÄnapariyÄdÄnÄya dhammo? And what is the principle for depleting all fuel?
CakkhuƱca paį¹icca rÅ«pe ca uppajjati cakkhuviƱƱÄį¹aį¹. Tiį¹į¹aį¹ saį¹
gati phasso. Eye consciousness arises dependent on the eye and sights. The meeting of the three is contact.
PhassapaccayÄ vedanÄ. Contact is a condition for feeling.
Evaį¹ passaį¹, bhikkhave, sutavÄ ariyasÄvako cakkhusmimpi nibbindati, rÅ«pesupi nibbindati, cakkhuviƱƱÄį¹epi nibbindati, cakkhusamphassepi nibbindati, vedanÄyapi nibbindati. Seeing this, a learned noble disciple grows disillusioned with the eye, sights, eye consciousness, eye contact, and feeling.
Nibbindaį¹ virajjati; virÄgÄ vimuccati; vimokkhÄ āpariyÄdinnaį¹ me upÄdÄnanāti pajÄnÄti ā¦peā¦ Being disillusioned, desire fades away. When desire fades away theyāre freed. When they are released, they understand: āI have completely depleted grasping.ā
