Saį¹yojaniyasutta Things Prone to Being Fettered

ā€œSaį¹yojaniye ca, bhikkhave, dhamme desessāmi saį¹yojanaƱca. ā€œMendicants, I will teach you the things that are prone to being fettered, and the fetter.

Taį¹ suį¹‡Ätha. Listen ā€¦

Katame ca, bhikkhave, saį¹yojaniyā dhammā, katamaƱca saį¹yojanaį¹? What are the things that are prone to being fettered? And what is the fetter?

Cakkhuį¹, bhikkhave, saį¹yojaniyo dhammo. The eye is something thatā€™s prone to being fettered.

Yo tattha chandarāgo, taį¹ tattha saį¹yojanaį¹ ā€¦peā€¦ The desire and greed for it is the fetter.

jivhā saį¹yojaniyo dhammo ā€¦peā€¦ The ear ā€¦ nose ā€¦ tongue ā€¦ body ā€¦

mano saį¹yojaniyo dhammo. mind is something thatā€™s prone to being fettered.

Yo tattha chandarāgo, taį¹ tattha saį¹yojanaį¹. The desire and greed for it is the fetter.

Ime vuccanti, bhikkhave, saį¹yojaniyā dhammā, idaį¹ saį¹yojananā€ti. These are called the things that are prone to being fettered, and this is the fetter.ā€
