Ajjhattaaniccahetusutta Interior and Cause Are Impermanent
āCakkhuį¹, bhikkhave, aniccaį¹. āMendicants, the eye is impermanent.
Yopi hetu, yopi paccayo cakkhussa uppÄdÄya, sopi anicco. The cause and reason that gives rise to the eye is also impermanent.
AniccasambhÅ«taį¹, bhikkhave, cakkhu kuto niccaį¹ bhavissati ā¦peā¦ Since the eye is produced by what is impermanent, how could it be permanent?
jivhÄ aniccÄ. The ear ā¦ nose ā¦ tongue ā¦ body ā¦
Yopi hetu, yopi paccayo jivhÄya uppÄdÄya sopi anicco.
AniccasambhÅ«tÄ, bhikkhave, jivhÄ kuto niccÄ bhavissati ā¦peā¦
mano anicco. mind is impermanent.
Yopi, bhikkhave, hetu yopi paccayo manassa uppÄdÄya, sopi anicco. The cause and reason that gives rise to the mind is also impermanent.
Aniccasambhūto, bhikkhave, mano kuto nicco bhavissati. Since the mind is produced by what is impermanent, how could it be permanent?
Evaį¹ passaį¹, bhikkhave, sutavÄ ariyasÄvako cakkhusmimpi nibbindati ā¦peā¦ jivhÄyapi nibbindati ā¦peā¦ manasmimpi nibbindati, Seeing this, a learned noble disciple grows disillusioned with the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind.
nibbindaį¹ virajjati; virÄgÄ vimuccati; vimuttasmiį¹ vimuttamiti ƱÄį¹aį¹ hoti. Being disillusioned, desire fades away. When desire fades away theyāre freed. When theyāre freed, they know theyāre freed.
āKhÄ«į¹Ä jÄti, vusitaį¹ brahmacariyaį¹, kataį¹ karaį¹Ä«yaį¹, nÄparaį¹ itthattÄyÄāti pajÄnÄtÄ«āti. They understand: āRebirth is ended, the spiritual journey has been completed, what had to be done has been done, there is nothing further for this place.āā
