Ajjhattaaniccahetusutta Interior and Cause Are Impermanent

ā€œCakkhuį¹, bhikkhave, aniccaį¹. ā€œMendicants, the eye is impermanent.

Yopi hetu, yopi paccayo cakkhussa uppādāya, sopi anicco. The cause and reason that gives rise to the eye is also impermanent.

AniccasambhÅ«taį¹, bhikkhave, cakkhu kuto niccaį¹ bhavissati ā€¦peā€¦ Since the eye is produced by what is impermanent, how could it be permanent?

jivhā aniccā. The ear ā€¦ nose ā€¦ tongue ā€¦ body ā€¦

Yopi hetu, yopi paccayo jivhāya uppādāya sopi anicco.

AniccasambhÅ«tā, bhikkhave, jivhā kuto niccā bhavissati ā€¦peā€¦

mano anicco. mind is impermanent.

Yopi, bhikkhave, hetu yopi paccayo manassa uppādāya, sopi anicco. The cause and reason that gives rise to the mind is also impermanent.

Aniccasambhūto, bhikkhave, mano kuto nicco bhavissati. Since the mind is produced by what is impermanent, how could it be permanent?

Evaį¹ passaį¹, bhikkhave, sutavā ariyasāvako cakkhusmimpi nibbindati ā€¦peā€¦ jivhāyapi nibbindati ā€¦peā€¦ manasmimpi nibbindati, Seeing this, a learned noble disciple grows disillusioned with the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind.

nibbindaį¹ virajjati; virāgā vimuccati; vimuttasmiį¹ vimuttamiti Ʊāį¹‡aį¹ hoti. Being disillusioned, desire fades away. When desire fades away theyā€™re freed. When theyā€™re freed, they know theyā€™re freed.

ā€˜KhÄ«į¹‡Ä jāti, vusitaį¹ brahmacariyaį¹, kataį¹ karaį¹‡Ä«yaį¹, nāparaį¹ itthattāyāā€™ti pajānātÄ«ā€ti. They understand: ā€˜Rebirth is ended, the spiritual journey has been completed, what had to be done has been done, there is nothing further for this place.ā€™ā€
