Micchādiį¹­į¹­hipahānasutta Giving Up Wrong View

Atha kho aƱƱataro bhikkhu yena bhagavā tenupasaį¹…kami ā€¦peā€¦ Then a mendicant went up to the Buddha ā€¦

ekamantaį¹ nisinno so bhikkhu bhagavantaį¹ etadavoca: and said to him:

ā€œkathaį¹ nu kho, bhante, jānato kathaį¹ passato micchādiį¹­į¹­hi pahÄ«yatÄ«ā€ti? ā€œSir, how does one know and see so that wrong view is given up?ā€

ā€œCakkhuį¹ kho, bhikkhu, aniccato jānato passato micchādiį¹­į¹­hi pahÄ«yati. ā€œMendicant, knowing and seeing the eye, sights, eye consciousness, and eye contact as impermanent, wrong view is given up. ā€¦

RÅ«pe aniccato jānato passato micchādiį¹­į¹­hi pahÄ«yati.

CakkhuviƱƱāį¹‡aį¹ aniccato jānato passato micchādiį¹­į¹­hi pahÄ«yati.

Cakkhusamphassaį¹ aniccato jānato passato micchādiį¹­į¹­hi pahÄ«yati ā€¦peā€¦

yampidaį¹ manosamphassapaccayā uppajjati vedayitaį¹ sukhaį¹ vā dukkhaį¹ vā adukkhamasukhaį¹ vā tampi aniccato jānato passato micchādiį¹­į¹­hi pahÄ«yati. And also knowing and seeing the pleasant, painful, or neutral feeling that arises conditioned by mind contact as impermanent, wrong view is given up.

Evaį¹ kho, bhikkhu, jānato evaį¹ passato micchādiį¹­į¹­hi pahÄ«yatÄ«ā€ti. This is how to know and see so that wrong view is given up.ā€
