Sukhasutta Pleasure
āTisso imÄ, bhikkhave, vedanÄ. āMendicants, there are these three feelings.
KatamÄ tisso? What three?
SukhÄ vedanÄ, dukkhÄ vedanÄ, adukkhamasukhÄ vedanÄāPleasant, painful, and neutral feeling.
imÄ kho, bhikkhave, tisso vedanÄti. These are the three feelings.
Sukhaį¹ vÄ yadi vÄ dukkhaį¹, Whatever is felt
adukkhamasukhaį¹ saha; internally and externallyā
AjjhattaƱca bahiddhÄ ca, whether pleasure or pain
yaį¹ kiƱci atthi veditaį¹. as well as whatās neutralā
Etaį¹ dukkhanti ƱatvÄna, having known this as suffering,
mosadhammaį¹ palokinaį¹; deceptive, falling apart,
Phussa phussa vayaį¹ passaį¹, one sees them vanish as theyāre experienced again and again:
evaį¹ tattha virajjatÄ«āti. thatās how to be free of desire for them.ā
