Sāvatthinidānaį¹. At SāvatthÄ«.

ā€œMicchāpaį¹­ipadaƱca vo, bhikkhave, desessāmi, sammāpaį¹­ipadaƱca. ā€œMendicants, I will teach you the wrong practice and the right practice.

Taį¹ suį¹‡Ätha. Listen ā€¦

Katamā ca, bhikkhave, micchāpaį¹­ipadā? And whatā€™s the wrong practice?

Seyyathidaį¹ā€”micchādiį¹­į¹­hi ā€¦peā€¦ micchāsamādhi. It is wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, and wrong immersion.

Ayaį¹ vuccati, bhikkhave, micchāpaį¹­ipadā. This is called the wrong practice.

Katamā ca, bhikkhave, sammāpaį¹­ipadā? And whatā€™s the right practice?

Seyyathidaį¹ā€”sammādiį¹­į¹­hi ā€¦peā€¦ sammāsamādhi. It is right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right immersion.

Ayaį¹ vuccati, bhikkhave, sammāpaį¹­ipadāā€ti. This is called the right practice.ā€
