ā€œAsappurisaƱca vo, bhikkhave, desessāmi, sappurisaƱca. ā€œMendicants, I will teach you an untrue person and a true person.

Katamo ca, bhikkhave, asappuriso? And what is an untrue person?

Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco micchādiį¹­į¹­hiko hoti, micchāsaį¹…kappo, micchāvāco, micchākammanto, micchāājÄ«vo, micchāvāyāmo, micchāsati, micchāsamādhiā€”Itā€™s someone who has wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, and wrong immersion.

ayaį¹ vuccati, bhikkhave, asappuriso. This is called an untrue person.

Katamo ca, bhikkhave, sappuriso? And what is a true person?

Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco sammādiį¹­į¹­hiko hoti, sammāsaį¹…kappo, sammāvāco, sammākammanto, sammāājÄ«vo, sammāvāyāmo, sammāsati, sammāsamādhiā€”Itā€™s someone who has right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right immersion.
