āBrahmaƱƱaƱca vo, bhikkhave, desessÄmi, brahmaƱƱaphalÄni ca. āMendicants, I will teach you life as a brahmin and the fruits of life as a brahmin.

KatamaƱca kho, bhikkhave, brahmaƱƱaį¹? And what is life as a brahmin?
Ayameva ariyo aį¹į¹haį¹
giko maggo, seyyathidaį¹āIt is simply this noble eightfold path, that is:
sammÄdiį¹į¹hi ā¦peā¦ sammÄsamÄdhi. right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right immersion.
Idaį¹ vuccati, bhikkhave, brahmaƱƱaį¹. This is called life as a brahmin.
KatamÄni ca, bhikkhave, brahmaƱƱaphalÄni? And what are the fruits of life as a brahmin?
SotÄpattiphalaį¹, sakadÄgÄmiphalaį¹, anÄgÄmiphalaį¹, arahattaphalaį¹āThe fruits of stream-entry, once-return, non-return, and perfection.
imÄni vuccanti, bhikkhave, brahmaƱƱaphalÄnÄ«āti. These are called the fruits of life as a brahmin.ā
