evameva kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu ariyaį¹ aį¹­į¹­haį¹…gikaį¹ maggaį¹ bhāvento ariyaį¹ aį¹­į¹­haį¹…gikaį¹ maggaį¹ bahulÄ«karonto uppannuppanne pāpake akusale dhamme antarāyeva antaradhāpeti vÅ«pasameti. In the same way, a mendicant who develops and cultivates the noble eightfold path disperses and stills bad, unskillful qualities as they proceed.

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sammādiį¹­į¹­hiį¹ bhāveti ā€¦peā€¦ sammāsamādhiį¹ bhāveti vivekanissitaį¹ virāganissitaį¹ nirodhanissitaį¹ vossaggapariį¹‡Ämiį¹ ā€¦ Itā€™s when a mendicant develops right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right immersion, which rely on seclusion, fading away, and cessation, and ripen as letting go.
