āPaƱcimÄni, bhikkhave, nÄ«varaį¹Äni. āMendicants, there are these five hindrances.

KÄmacchandanÄ«varaį¹aį¹, byÄpÄdanÄ«varaį¹aį¹, thinamiddhanÄ«varaį¹aį¹, uddhaccakukkuccanÄ«varaį¹aį¹, vicikicchÄnÄ«varaį¹aį¹āThe hindrances of sensual desire, ill will, dullness and drowsiness, restlessness and remorse, and doubt.
imÄni kho, bhikkhave, paƱca nÄ«varaį¹Äni. These are the five hindrances.
Imesaį¹ kho, bhikkhave, paƱcannaį¹ nÄ«varaį¹Änaį¹ abhiƱƱÄya pariƱƱÄya parikkhayÄya pahÄnÄya ā¦peā¦ ayaį¹ ariyo aį¹į¹haį¹
