Paį¹­hamakusalasutta Skillful (1st)

ā€œYe keci, bhikkhave, dhammā kusalā kusalabhāgiyā kusalapakkhikā, sabbe te appamādamÅ«lakā appamādasamosaraį¹‡Ä; appamādo tesaį¹ dhammānaį¹ aggamakkhāyati. ā€œMendicants, whatever qualities are skillful, part of the skillful, on the side of the skillful, all of them are rooted in diligence and meet at diligence, and diligence is said to be the best of them.

Appamattassetaį¹, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno pāį¹­ikaį¹…khaį¹ā€”satta bojjhaį¹…ge bhāvessati, satta bojjhaį¹…ge bahulÄ«karissati. A mendicant who is diligent can expect to develop and cultivate the seven awakening factors.

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu satisambojjhaį¹…gaį¹ bhāveti vivekanissitaį¹ ā€¦peā€¦ Itā€™s when a mendicant develops the awakening factors of mindfulness, investigation of principles, energy, rapture, tranquility, immersion,

upekkhāsambojjhaį¹…gaį¹ bhāveti vivekanissitaį¹ virāganissitaį¹ nirodhanissitaį¹ vossaggapariį¹‡Ämiį¹. and equanimity, which rely on seclusion, fading away, and cessation, and ripen as letting go.

Evaį¹ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu appamatto satta bojjhaį¹…ge bhāveti, satta bojjhaį¹…ge bahulÄ«karotÄ«ā€ti. Thatā€™s how a diligent mendicant develops and cultivates the seven awakening factors.ā€
