VedanÄsutta Feelings
āTisso imÄ, bhikkhave, vedanÄ. āMendicants, there are these three feelings.
KatamÄ tisso? What three?
SukhÄ vedanÄ, dukkhÄ vedanÄ, adukkhamasukhÄ vedanÄāPleasant, painful, and neutral feeling.
imÄ kho, bhikkhave, tisso vedanÄ. These are the three feelings.
ImÄsaį¹ kho, bhikkhave, tissannaį¹ vedanÄnaį¹ pariƱƱÄya cattÄro satipaį¹į¹hÄnÄ bhÄvetabbÄ. The four kinds of mindfulness meditation should be developed to completely understand these three feelings.
