Paį¹hamasotÄpannasutta A Stream-Enterer (1st)
āPaƱcimÄni, bhikkhave, indriyÄni. āMendicants, there are these five faculties.
KatamÄni paƱca? What five?
Saddhindriyaį¹, vÄ«riyindriyaį¹, satindriyaį¹, samÄdhindriyaį¹, paƱƱindriyaį¹. The faculties of faith, energy, mindfulness, immersion, and wisdom.
Yato kho, bhikkhave, ariyasÄvako imesaį¹ paƱcannaį¹ indriyÄnaį¹ assÄdaƱca ÄdÄ«navaƱca nissaraį¹aƱca yathÄbhÅ«taį¹ pajÄnÄtiāA noble disciple comes to truly understand these five facultiesā gratification, drawback, and escape.
ayaį¹ vuccati, bhikkhave, ariyasÄvako sotÄpanno avinipÄtadhammo niyato sambodhiparÄyaį¹oāti. Such a noble disciple is called a stream-enterer, not liable to be reborn in the underworld, bound for awakening.ā
