Ekabījīsutta A One-Seeder

ā€œPaƱcimāni, bhikkhave, indriyāni. ā€œMendicants, there are these five faculties.

Katamāni paƱca? What five?

Saddhindriyaį¹ ā€¦peā€¦ paƱƱindriyaį¹ā€”The faculties of faith, energy, mindfulness, immersion, and wisdom.

imāni kho, bhikkhave, paƱcindriyāni. These are the five faculties.

Imesaį¹ kho, bhikkhave, paƱcannaį¹ indriyānaį¹ samattā paripÅ«rattā arahaį¹ hoti, tato mudutarehi antarāparinibbāyÄ« hoti, tato mudutarehi upahaccaparinibbāyÄ« hoti, tato mudutarehi asaį¹…khāraparinibbāyÄ« hoti, tato mudutarehi sasaį¹…khāraparinibbāyÄ« hoti, tato mudutarehi uddhaį¹soto hoti akaniį¹­į¹­hagāmÄ«, tato mudutarehi sakadāgāmÄ« hoti, tato mudutarehi ekabÄ«jÄ« hoti, tato mudutarehi kolaį¹…kolo hoti, tato mudutarehi sattakkhattuparamo hoti, tato mudutarehi dhammānusārÄ« hoti, tato mudutarehi saddhānusārÄ« hotÄ«ā€ti. Someone who has completed and fulfilled these five faculties is a perfected one. If they are weaker than that, theyā€™re one who is extinguished between one life and the next ā€¦ one who is extinguished upon landing ā€¦ one who is extinguished without extra effort ā€¦ one who is extinguished with extra effort ā€¦ one who heads upstream, going to the Akaniį¹­į¹­ha realm ā€¦ a once-returner ā€¦ a one-seeder ā€¦ one who goes from family to family ā€¦ one who has seven rebirths at most ā€¦ a follower of teachings ā€¦ a follower by faith.ā€
