Sambuddhasutta Awakened
āChayimÄni, bhikkhave, indriyÄni. āMendicants, there are these six faculties.
KatamÄni cha? What six?
Cakkhundriyaį¹, sotindriyaį¹, ghÄnindriyaį¹, jivhindriyaį¹, kÄyindriyaį¹, manindriyaį¹. The faculties of the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind.
YÄvakÄ«vaƱcÄhaį¹, bhikkhave, imesaį¹ channaį¹ indriyÄnaį¹ samudayaƱca atthaį¹
gamaƱca assÄdaƱca ÄdÄ«navaƱca nissaraį¹aƱca yathÄbhÅ«taį¹ nÄbbhaƱƱÄsiį¹, neva tÄvÄhaį¹, bhikkhave, sadevake loke samÄrake sabrahmake sassamaį¹abrÄhmaį¹iyÄ pajÄya sadevamanussÄya āanuttaraį¹ sammÄsambodhiį¹ abhisambuddhoāti paccaƱƱÄsiį¹. As long as I didnāt truly understand these six facultiesā gratification, drawback, and escape, I didnāt announce my supreme perfect awakening in this world with its gods, MÄras, and Divinities, this population with its ascetics and brahmins, its gods and humans.
Yato ca khvÄhaį¹, bhikkhave, imesaį¹ channaį¹ indriyÄnaį¹ samudayaƱca atthaį¹
gamaƱca assÄdaƱca ÄdÄ«navaƱca nissaraį¹aƱca yathÄbhÅ«taį¹ abbhaƱƱÄsiį¹, athÄhaį¹, bhikkhave, sadevake loke samÄrake sabrahmake sassamaį¹abrÄhmaį¹iyÄ pajÄya sadevamanussÄya āanuttaraį¹ sammÄsambodhiį¹ abhisambuddhoāti paccaƱƱÄsiį¹. But when I did truly understand these six facultiesā gratification, drawback, and escape, I announced my supreme perfect awakening in this world with its gods, MÄras, and Divinities, this population with its ascetics and brahmins, its gods and humans.
ĆÄį¹aƱca pana me dassanaį¹ udapÄdi: Knowledge and vision arose in me:
āakuppÄ me vimutti, ayamantimÄ jÄti, natthi dÄni punabbhavoāāti. āMy freedom is unshakable; this is my last rebirth; now thereāll be no more future lives.āā
