Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu chandasamādhippadhānasaį¹…khārasamannāgataį¹ iddhipādaį¹ bhāveti, Itā€™s when a mendicant develops the basis of psychic power that has immersion due to enthusiasm ā€¦

vÄ«riyasamādhi ā€¦peā€¦ energy ā€¦

cittasamādhi ā€¦peā€¦ mental development ā€¦

vÄ«maį¹sāsamādhippadhānasaį¹…khārasamannāgataį¹ iddhipādaį¹ bhāveti. inquiry, and active effort.

Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro iddhipādā. These are the four bases of psychic power.

Imesaį¹ kho, bhikkhave, catunnaį¹ iddhipādānaį¹ bhāvitattā bahulÄ«katattā tathāgato ā€˜arahaį¹ sammāsambuddhoā€™ti vuccatÄ«ā€ti. It is because he has developed and cultivated these four bases of psychic power that the Realized One is called ā€˜the perfected one, the fully awakened Buddhaā€™.ā€
