Äsavakkhayasutta The Ending of Defilements
āJÄnatohaį¹, bhikkhave, passato ÄsavÄnaį¹ khayaį¹ vadÄmi, no ajÄnato apassato. āMendicants, I say that the ending of defilements is for one who knows and sees, not for one who does not know or see.
KiƱca, bhikkhave, jÄnato passato ÄsavÄnaį¹ khayo hoti? For one who knows and sees what?
āIdaį¹ dukkhanāti, bhikkhave, jÄnato passato ÄsavÄnaį¹ khayo hoti, āayaį¹ dukkhasamudayoāti jÄnato passato ÄsavÄnaį¹ khayo hoti, āayaį¹ dukkhanirodhoāti jÄnato passato ÄsavÄnaį¹ khayo hoti, āayaį¹ dukkhanirodhagÄminÄ« paį¹ipadÄāti jÄnato passato ÄsavÄnaį¹ khayo hoti.
