Paį¹hamapabbatÅ«pamasutta A Mountain (1st)
āSeyyathÄpi, bhikkhave, puriso himavato pabbatarÄjassa satta sÄsapamattiyo pÄsÄį¹asakkharÄ upanikkhipeyya. āMendicants, suppose a person was to place seven pebbles the size of mustard seeds on the Himalayas, the king of mountains.
Taį¹ kiį¹ maƱƱatha, bhikkhave, What do you think, mendicants?
katamaį¹ nu kho bahutaraį¹āyÄ vÄ satta sÄsapamattiyo pÄsÄį¹asakkharÄ upanikkhittÄ, ayaį¹ vÄ himavÄ pabbatarÄjÄāti? Which is more: the seven pebbles the size of mustard seeds, or the Himalayas, the king of mountains?ā
āEtadeva, bhante, bahutaraį¹, yadidaį¹āhimavÄ pabbatarÄjÄ; appamattikÄ satta sÄsapamattiyo pÄsÄį¹asakkharÄ upanikkhittÄ. āSir, the Himalayas, the king of mountains, is certainly more. The seven pebbles the size of mustard seeds are tiny.
