Dutiyabhayasutta

Perils (2nd)

“Cattārimāni, bhikkhave, bhayāni.
“Mendicants, there are these four perils.

Katamāni cattāri?
What four?

Aggibhayaṁ, udakabhayaṁ, rājabhayaṁ, corabhayaṁ—
The perils of fire, water, kings, and bandits.

Imāni kho, bhikkhave, cattāri bhayānī”ti.
These are the four perils.”

Dasamaṁ.

Kesivaggo dutiyo.

Tassuddānaṁ

Kesi javo patodo ca,

Nāgo ṭhānena pañcamaṁ;

Appamādo ca ārakkho,

Saṁvejanīyañca dve bhayāti.
