Expressions (3rd)

“Cattārome, bhikkhave, anariyavohārā.
“Mendicants, there are these four ignoble expressions.

Katame cattāro?
What four?

Diṭṭhe adiṭṭhavāditā, sute asutavāditā, mute amutavāditā, viññāte aviññātavāditā—
Saying you haven’t seen, heard, thought, or known something, and you have.

Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro anariyavohārā”ti.
These are the four ignoble expressions.”
