Saddhammasutta
Good Qualities
“Sattime, bhikkhave, saddhammā.
“Mendicants, there are these seven good qualities.
Katame satta?
What seven?
Saddho hoti, hirīmā hoti, ottappī hoti, bahussuto hoti, āraddhavīriyo hoti, satimā hoti, paññavā hoti.
Someone is faithful, conscientious, prudent, learned, energetic, mindful, and wise.
Ime kho, bhikkhave, satta saddhammā”ti.
These are the seven good qualities.”
Dasamaṁ.
Samaṇavaggo navamo.
Tassuddānaṁ
Bhikkhuṁ samaṇo brāhmaṇo,
sottiyo ceva nhātako;
Vedagū ariyo arahā,
asaddhammā ca saddhammāti.
