The Teaching of the True Persons
“Sappurisadhammañca vo, bhikkhave, desessāmi asappurisadhammañca.
“Mendicants, I will teach you the teaching of the true persons and the teaching of the untrue persons. …

katamo ca, bhikkhave, asappurisadhammo?
And what is the teaching of the untrue persons?
Micchādiṭṭhi …pe… micchāvimutti—
Wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, wrong immersion, wrong knowledge, and wrong freedom.
ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, asappurisadhammo.
This is the teaching of the untrue persons.
Katamo ca, bhikkhave, sappurisadhammo?
And what is the teaching of the true persons?
Sammādiṭṭhi …pe… sammāvimutti—
Right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right immersion, right knowledge, and right freedom.
ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, sappurisadhammo”ti.
This is the teaching of the true persons.”
