The Ox Named Nandivisāla: a past life story
“Manuññameva bhāseyya,
One should only speak sweetly,
nāmanuññaṁ kudācanaṁ;
never not sweetly.
Manuññaṁ bhāsamānassa,
For the one speaking sweetly,
garuṁ bhāraṁ udaddhari;
a large load was pulled,
Dhanañca naṁ alābhesi,
earning him money,
tena cattamano ahū”ti.
and he was satisfied with that.
Nandivisālajātakaṁ aṭṭhamaṁ.
