“Having abandoned all the knots
“You’ve given up all ties,
vippamuttassa te sato;
As one fully released,
and are fully freed.
Samaṇassa na taṁ sādhu,
It isn’t good for you, an ascetic,
It’s not a good idea for you, ascetic,

To be instructing others.”

With compassion towards such a person.
to not think of the other with compassion.
Manasā ce pasannena,
“But if with a mind clear and pure
If you instruct others
yadaññamanusāsati;
He gives instructions to others,
with a mind clear and confident,
Na tena hoti saṁyutto,
He does not become fettered
your compassion and empathy

By his compassion and sympathy.”
